TWDC – Your Drip Tray and How to Drain it
The Water Delivery Company is often asked the same inquiries and in answer to that we’ll use these articles to give some simple outlines to the most often . A fundamental problem facing someone who has just taken delivery of their first water coolers is ‘How Do I drain the Drip Reservoir?’.At some point the drip reservoir of the water coolers will flow over and unless its drained you’ll get water damage – spoiling the carpet or potentially damaging a laminate or wooden – so its essential to drain the reservoir regularly. Another snag that can arise from not emptying the drip tray is the build up of algae and bacteria – the drip tray looks unsightlyand unsanitary. To begin – take off any tray which may sit on top of your drip reservoir. Many water coolers have this and they are there just to support the cup as you pour water. These will always simply clip out so a little firm pressure will remove the grill. Once the grill has been removed you’ll be able to get a firmer grip on the drip tray itself. Again using firm pressure draw the drip reservoir towards you it unclips easily. Drain any water into a bucket or sink. Give the inside of the drip tray a wipe with a soft cloth and you may like to use a little gentle cleansing fluid or detergent at this stage just to thoroughly disinfect the drip tray and optimise its hygiene level. Once the drip tray is drained you can simply push it back into place using firm pressure. You’ll sense the click as it clips back into home. And finally replace the grill if the tray has one and you’re ready to go!
