Naveen Jain Is Today’s Modern Cinderella Man
Naveen Jain’s success may seem to be tailored for the movies; as if the guy is the Cinderella Man of online commerce. But while Naveen Jain may not have suffered through the Great Depression like the Cinderella Man, he had his share of downhill skids.
Naveen Jain, who migrated to the United States from India, did not have the road cleared for him. He figuratively made one for himself. After seven years of working as a Microsoft employee, Naveen Jain decided to call it quits with Bill Gates, a man he idolizes, and make a mark for himself.
Naveen Jain was primed for the big time and determined to make money for himself, as he did for Gates and Microsoft. And so he founded InfoSpace and helped it reach its peak — a net worth of $31 million. Hard times fell on his brainchild though, and he eventually had to leave the company he built from the ground up.
Like the Cinderella Man, Naveen Jain toiled hard to gain another shot at success. And eventually, it came. Together with former colleagues from his Microsoft and InfoSpace days, Naveen Jain established a new company and a new industry. The creation of Intelius ushered in the bankability of selling important information online. And the innovation Naveen Jain and Intelius brought resulted to rewards and recognitions.
Today, Naveen Jain and his family happily live in a multi-million dollar house, and Intelius remains as the top dog in its business category. How’s that for a modern Cinderella Man story?
