Jamaica Is a Must Visit

This time I wanted to go to Jamaica for my vacations. Every person I asked has recommended a visit to this island nation, as everyone knows about my fondness for the beaches. But this time I will not restrict myself to the luxury resort in the Caribbean or to the beaches alone, rather I intend to explore the island and the various activities available here and add some fun factor to my vacation.

Jamaica has a lot on offer in terms of sight-seeing, water sports, shopping as well as partying. The beaches in Jamaica are excellent; you can dig your feet in the soft white sand and relax under the shade of the numerous trees that are situated near the beach. On the other hand, you can enjoy at one of the livelier spot filled with youngsters listening to loud music. Those interested in water sports can try their hand at snorkeling and scuba diving while the large number of shacks lining the beach is the place to be if you are a food lover and would love to try some spicy jerk chicken.

There are a number of plantation houses in Jamaica. They say that a trip to Jamaica is incomplete without a visit to one of the plantation houses so I decided to visit the Greenwood Great House, which has an interesting history and has survived the great revolt in the 19th century. There is not much shopping to be done on the island although you can still pick up some stuff at the weekly markets and street side shops. I had not planned to buy anything this time but I still ended up buying some local handicrafts and arts from MoBay as souvenirs for my friends. I hope they like it. Jamaica is also known for the numerous golf courses located on the island.
